On November 27, in Phu Quoc special zone, An Giang province, the Command (BTL) of Coast Guard Region 4 held a conference to summarize the work of the Coast Guard in 2025. Major General Dam Xuan Tuan - Deputy Commander of the Vietnam Coast Guard - attended and directed the Conference.
In 2025, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command monitored and directed 256 ships and boats to perform tasks at sea, traveling over 71,000 nautical miles safely. Inspected, arrested, and received and handled 387 cases/405 ships, seized more than 2 million liters of DO oil, more than 230 tons of Ure patchwork, 30 tons of sand, more than 8 tons of seafood; prosecuted 2 cases/2 ships for the act of "organizing others to illegally exit the country"; investigated and handled 371/379 ships, imposed administrative penalties and sold assets to the State budget of more than 34 billion VND.
Chaired and coordinated the arrest of 9 cases/9 subjects for illegal possession, trading and transportation of drugs; arrested 8 fishing vessels/30 subjects for illegally storing and hiding 17 VMS devices of other fishing vessels.
The Regional Command has comprehensively and effectively implemented all aspects of Party work and political work, especially in propaganda and dissemination of legal education with many innovative and creative ways, bringing practical results: such as the "Mock trial" model, propaganda against IUU fishing by providing QR searches for legal regulations...
With the achievements, in 2025, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command was honored to receive many Certificates of Merit from the Supreme People's Court, the Ministry of National Defense, the Vietnam Coast Guard and localities; the Regional Command achieved a comprehensive and strong unit of "exemplary standards", and was proposed by the Vietnam Coast Guard to be awarded the Emulation Flag by the Ministry of National Defense in 2025.
At the conference, Major General Nguyen Van Dung - Party Secretary, Political Commissar of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command - represented the Region Party Committee to disseminate and implement the Resolution on leadership in implementing the tasks in 2026 of the Region Party Committee. With comprehensive and specific leadership policies and measures in all aspects of work to lead and direct the building of a comprehensively strong, "exemplary" Regional Command, successfully completing all assigned tasks in 2026.
Speaking at the Conference, Major General Dam Xuan Tuan - Deputy Commander of the Vietnam Coast Guard - acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the achievements that the Regional Command has achieved in 2025. Major General Dam Xuan Tuan requested the unit to continue to promote its advantages and strengths, focusing on implementing well some contents in 2026. Specifically: Continue to strictly maintain combat readiness regimes; promote and improve training quality; promote administrative procedure reform, digital transformation; continue to research and innovate creative and effective ways of doing things; focus on effectively implementing the fight against crimes and violations at sea; self-reliance, overcoming difficulties, ensuring good logistics and technical work for regular and ad hoc tasks of the unit...
At the conference, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command awarded collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the Emulation Movement for Decision to win in 2025.
On this occasion, Major General Dam Xuan Tuan chaired the last 6 months of 2025 Democratic Dialogue Conference between the Head of the Coast Guard Command and officers and soldiers of the unit.
