The incident occurred at 1:55 p.m. on October 8 on District 25, Lang Lien Village, Quyet Thang Commune, Hai Phong City. Mr. L.Q.D (born in 1992, residing in Dong Trieu ward, Quang Ninh province) was driving a car in the direction of Hoa Binh intersection and towards Quyet Thang commune police. Due to losing control, Mr. D crashed into a milestone on the left side of the road and plunged his car into a ditch in front of Quyet Thang Commune Health Station. As a result, Mr. D died from drowning.
On the same day, another serious accident occurred in the city at 8:50 p.m. on the Tran Phu - An Phu inter-commune road, in Linh Khe village, Tran Phu commune. A motorbike traveling from An Phu to Tran Phu collided with a pedestrian, Ms. L.T.H (born in 1976) and Ms. L.T.N (born in 1981, both from Tran Phu commune) traveling in the same direction. As a result, Ms. H was injured and died at home at 2:20 a.m. on October 9; Ms. N suffered a traumatic brain injury.
On October 8, the whole city had 4 traffic accidents, killing 2 people and injuring 3 others.
