At about 8:20 p.m. on December 19, on Khuc Gian village road, An Tien commune, An Lao district, the Investigation Team, An Lao district police, while patrolling and checking, discovered Nguyen Van Linh (born in 2008, residing in Phuong Chu Tay village) driving a motorbike 15AC-043.47 carrying Nguyen Minh Quan (born in 2009, residing in Hoa Giang village, also in Truong Thanh commune, An Lao district), carrying a backpack inside the large compartment. Upon inspection, the backpack contained a plastic box containing 0.1 kg of explosives and 14 medium-sized firecrackers measuring 14x6cm.
During a search of Nguyen Minh Quan's house, the Investigation Team seized many items related to the manufacture of firecrackers and fireworks. Through the investigation, Quan confessed that he bought the ingredients for making firecrackers online and brought them home, and together with Nguyen Minh Ngoc (born in 2009, residing in Hoa Giang village) and Nguyen The Duc (born in 2009, residing in Phuong Chu Tay village) made firecrackers and fireworks at home with the intention of selling them.
Previously, at 3:00 p.m. on December 18, at Nguyet Ang 1 village, Thai Son commune, An Lao district, An Lao district police coordinated with Thai Son commune police to inspect, discover, and arrest Nguyen Phu Tan (born in 1979, residing in Nguyet Ang 1 village, Thai Son commune, An Lao district) for storing firecrackers at home.
During the inspection, the police discovered and seized 715 finished firecrackers, 379 unfinished firecrackers; 0.6 kg of explosives and some items related to the manufacture of explosives and firecrackers. Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of An Lao District Police has temporarily detained Nguyen Phu Tan for further investigation.
