This is a worrying reality, posing a risk of causing insecurity and disorder and leaving many serious consequences for society.
Like the incident that occurred earlier on April 7, 2026, on Ly Thuong Kiet street, Rach Gia ward, stemming from personal conflict, a group of teenagers brought homemade knives to resolve conflicts with violence. The consequence was that 1 person died on the spot, 1 person was injured and had to be taken to the emergency room. The incident caused particularly serious consequences, causing deaths, and the related subjects will be handled according to the provisions of law.
Or on April 15, Ba Chuc Commune Police said that the unit had promptly detected, prevented and handled a group of teenagers gathering, carrying weapons, showing signs of preparing to fight, causing insecurity and disorder in the commune.
Previously, Ba Chuc Commune Police received a report from people about a group of teenagers gathering, shouting, cursing, holding homemade weapons in their hands, posing a potential risk of causing insecurity and disorder.
Immediately after receiving the information, the commune police quickly deployed forces to the scene to inspect. Detecting the police force, the subjects fled. By professional measures, functional forces promptly controlled and temporarily detained 4 subjects along with 1 motorbike and 1 electric bicycle; and seized 3 knives (including 2 homemade knives).
Through initial work, the subjects confessed that due to conflicts arising from before, they brought weapons and arranged to meet in a deserted area to resolve them. However, before the scuffle occurred, they were detected and promptly prevented by the police force.
Through the incident, it shows that the subjects are mainly teenagers, many cases are under 18 years old, acts are impulsive, reckless, disregard the law; carrying weapons shows signs of serious violations. The consequences are not only causing casualties but also causing the subjects to face legal responsibility, greatly affecting the future.
According to functional forces, the main causes stem from the lack of management and education by families; negative impacts from social networks, violent content; competitive psychology, liking to express themselves and limited legal awareness.
Even if they are not yet 18 years old, the act of using a weapon to cause injury may still be strictly handled according to legal regulations, and may even be prosecuted for criminal liability depending on the nature and severity of the violation.
Faced with the above situation, local police have strengthened grasping the situation, patrolling and controlling; promptly detecting and handling violations; and at the same time promoting propaganda and dissemination of laws in residential areas and schools to raise awareness of law compliance for youth.
At the same time, the police recommend that people and teenagers strictly comply with the provisions of law, do not gather to cause insecurity and disorder, and do not carry weapons in any form. When conflicts arise, it is necessary to remain calm, not resolve them with violence but promptly notify the family or functional agencies.
