Of which, 95 cases were not obeying traffic light signals; 214 cases were speeding; and 1 case was violating other laws.
Yen Bai Traffic Police sent notices of violations to 310 cases nationwide; handled violations at the headquarters of local police agencies in 156 cases, imposed fines of nearly VND500 million; and revoked driving licenses in 80 cases.
For violations not residing in Yen Bai province, the violation will be handled at the district-level police where the vehicle owner resides and has his/her headquarters.
The Commander of the Traffic Police Department - Yen Bai Provincial Police said that currently, in the city, there are 9 traffic surveillance cameras installed at complicated points regarding traffic safety and order.
Through the camera, images of vehicles violating traffic laws such as: driving on the wrong side of the road, not obeying traffic light signals... will be recorded.
It is known that in 2024, the Camera Surveillance System Operation Team of the Traffic Police Department - Yen Bai Provincial Police inspected and detected 2,446 cases of speeding and 578 cases of non-compliance with traffic light signals.
