Dao Nguyen Vu was born and raised in a family with no musical tradition. He studied vocal music since he was 15 years old. The male singer won first prize in the "Voice of Vietnam" singing contest in 1999 and second prize in the "Hanoi Television Singing Contest" in 2000.
Regarding vocal expertise, he is probably a rare person who has received formal education, systematic training and has been "taught" by many veteran artists of the country's music industry.
Singer - lecturer Dao Nguyen Vu graduated with a Master's degree in Vocal Music from the Vietnam National Academy of Music in 2003 and was an Opera soloist for many years at the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet before becoming a lecturer in the Vocal Music Department.
Besides singing, teaching is also one of Dao Nguyen Vu's passions. From the knowledge he has learned and experienced after many years of singing, the male artist has passed on his own experiences to his students so that they have solid knowledge and skills in the singing profession.
Musician Duy Thai became loved by the audience from the song “Words of the Wind”, composed in 1985. That made him, who was then an actor of the Hai Phong Drama Troupe, switch to a career in music composition. He is currently the Chairman of the Hai Phong City Music Association.
