Along with the series of songs "Dat Nuoc Chuyen Phuc Phuc", "Tien ve Saigon", "Voi tu tar tar thuong"..., the song "Dat Viet" composed by the late musician Tran Lap was also widely shared by young people on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
With emotional and proud lyrics, the song is over 8 minutes long as a declaration of art and national spirit.
Talking about this work, musician Tran Tuan Hung said that in 1997, for the first time, the late musician Tran Lap composed the first melodies of a song that he called the "Dat Viet" song.
"It was a normal afternoon in the gym, but the music that day was very different. The melodies are both beautiful and calm like the peace of the homeland, then gradually change to the dark sound when the ball pulls through, to end with an emotional Khai Ho song. Bung Tuong seems to be sucked into that space, everyone is excited, wanting to start recording right away" - musician Tran Tuan Hung shared.

However, when the excitement passed, the group But Tuong realized that their life experience was not enough to touch the depth that this song's setting required. For that reason, Buc Tuong had to temporarily put aside her dream of being called "Dat Viet", waiting for another more suitable opportunity.
In December 2014, "Dat Viet" was officially completed and introduced in the album of the same name, with 10 songs with many topics, all with language depth and imbued with experience.
"For But Tuong, "Dat Viet" is not just a song. That is the journey of growing up, the milestone of maturity, the place where we convey the most profound things about our homeland, about our origin, about our national pride. And more than that, it is a tribute to the land that gave birth and nurtured us - the children of Vietnam" - musician Tran Tuan Hung affirmed.
Over the years, the wall has always put on the rock stage the beautiful colors of traditional culture, following the journey to spread Vietnamese culture that the band always pursues. Many of the group songs have gone beyond the boundaries of music works to become the image of good values, with the exemplary philosophy of the youth aspiration of a generation of Vietnamese youth, daring to dream, dare to realize.
In April 2022, Buc Tuong performed the song "Dat Viet" for the first time at Dinh Thong Nhat (HCMC). Head of the band Buc Tuong - guitarist Tran Tuan Hung said, "At a sacred place, marking many historical relics, in our hearts there are special emotions, difficult to describe, both proud and touching".
Bung Tuong affirmed that in each work, they not only convey the strong Rock spirit, but also reflect the depth of culture, history and national soul.
"In the coming time, we plan to continue to make new music products, in which traditional cultural elements will continue to be preserved, promoted and blended with the contemporary breath" - musician Tran Tuan Hung said.
