The 2nd modern dance competition "Young Life" - Hanoi, 2024 is an activity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital's Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024). Not only that, the contest is also within the framework of the "Cultural Festival for Peace" program to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Hanoi capital being honored by UNESCO as a "City for Peace".
The competition for collective dance groups aims to find talented groups of students, highlighting the strength of solidarity of young people. The contest also provides a useful, civilized, healthy playground that meets entertainment needs, helps children gain confidence, and promote artistic creativity.
Besides, the contest is also an opportunity for the young generation to exchange and learn, expressing the aspirations and personal views of Vietnamese youth in the digital era.
The "Young Life" contest is for collective dance groups that are students studying and living in Hanoi, clubs and dance groups in the city.
According to the regulations of the organizing committee, each participating team performs a dance of their choice that lasts no more than 5 minutes, is not limited to dance genres and can use Vietnamese or foreign music.
Also according to information from the organizers, the participating teams are divided into 2 groups. In particular, one table is for Colleges and Universities and one table is for grassroots levels: district unions, district unions, town unions, Cultural - Information and Sports Centers of districts, towns and cities. communes (including affiliated high schools), gifted clubs.
The dance groups' submitted works are evaluated based on specific criteria of technique, creativity in the formation, staging scale, harmonious combination of music and movements, performance costumes, stage effects.
The competition is held in 2 rounds. The preliminary round of the competition is expected to take place in September 2024, the ranking final and Award Ceremony are expected to be held on October 6, 2024.
Regarding the prize structure, the "Young Life" contest will have 4 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 6 third prizes and 10 consolation prizes. In addition, the Organizing Committee will also award 10 thematic consolation prizes and grassroots movement encouragement prizes, along with many sponsor prizes to the competing teams.
