“The World Needs Female Superheroes” is an exhibition that aims to highlight and emphasize women's contributions to society, while creating an artistic dialogue between popular comic book authors in both countries.
The exhibition includes 64 works by 62 female authors and groups of female authors from Vietnam and Spain. The works introduced are diverse in form and content, addressing topics such as feminism, love, friendship, society... and are the clearest evidence of the limitless creativity of women, especially in the field of comics - the 9th art with great potential for development in Vietnam.
The second exhibition “The World Needs Female Superheroes” will take place at the Da Nang Museum of Fine Arts from October 17 to November 6 (the first was successfully held in October 2022 at the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts in Hanoi).
The exhibition is open to the public free of charge starting October 18.
“The World Needs Female Superheroes” is an exhibition organized by the Embassy of Spain in Vietnam, in collaboration with the Spanish Association of Comic Book Authors and Herstoricas Association, the Comicola community in Vietnam and the Da Nang Museum of Fine Arts.
The exhibition is made possible with the support of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Union and Spanish Cooperation.
