On the morning of April 25, the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and leaders of Tam Nong district visited the martyrs cemetery located in Phu Tho commune, Tam Nong district. This is a practical activity showing the morality of "drinking water to remember the source" of the Party Committee, the army and the people of Dong Thap province in the context of the whole country solemnly celebrating the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Le Quoc Phong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Thap Province; Mr. Phan Van Thang - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Tran Tri Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments, agencies, socio -political organizations, provincial and district armed forces.
In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation offered flowers and respectfully offered incense. Spend a minute of silence to commemorate the heroic martyrs who fought bravely and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and national reunification.
Next, the delegates and relatives of the martyrs came to burn incense at each martyrs' grave, expressing their respect and deep gratitude to those who bravely gave their blood and bones in exchange for the independence of the country and the happiness of the people.
It is known that the Martyrs' Cemetery in Tam Nong District is the resting place of more than 4,200 martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the resistance wars to save the country and the Vietnamese volunteer army in Cambodia.
