Quang Ngai - People are heartbroken because many crop areas were flooded and damaged.

On October 26, the People's Committees of Dak Plo and Dak Pet communes (Quang Ngai province) are compiling statistics on the damage caused by floods in the area.

In recent days, due to the impact of storms accompanied by prolonged heavy rain, many mountainous localities are suffering serious consequences. Many hectares of crops were flooded, many roads were cut off due to landslides, making people's lives difficult.

In Dak Plo commune, Dak Pet, heavy rain caused water levels on rivers and streams to rise, overflowing into residential areas and fields.

Many areas of rice, corn and vegetables in the harvest stage were washed away or crushed by water, causing great damage to the people. Some households had to urgently evacuate to a safe place due to the risk of landslides on the positive slope right behind their houses.

The Ho Chi Minh road through Lo Xo Pass and some provincial roads were eroded, mud and soil overflowed, causing traffic congestion for many hours. The authorities and local authorities have urgently mobilized machinery and vehicles to level and clear the route, and at the same time put up warning signs at high-risk locations.
