The pilgrimage of Buddha Shakyamuni - the national treasure of India was invited to visit Vietnam on the occasion of the 2025 United Nations General Day.
According to information from the Organizing Committee, from May 2 to 8, nearly 2 million people worshiped the Buddha's grace at Thanh Tam pagoda (HCMC).
From May 13 to the end of the night of May 16, Quan Su Pagoda (Hanoi) welcomed more than 5 million Buddhists, locals and tourists to worship and benefit the Buddha. Due to the large number of Buddhists and people worshiping the Buddha's grace, the Organizing Committee decided to expand the time to receive and maintain 24/7 worship activities at Quan Su Pagoda.
Tam Chuc Pagoda (Ha Nam), a place to worship and benefit from Buddha from May 17 to 20, is expected to welcome more than 700,000 people to worship.
In addition to worshiping Buddha's relics, Tam Chuc pagoda is also the place where many events in the framework of the UN Buddha's Birthday Vesak 2025 are like the night of the flower prayer on the evening of 20.5 (19h - 22h), the pilgrimage program on Cau Dao street from 17 to 21.5 and the vegetarian culinary neighborhood serving from 17 to 20.5.

This is the first time Vietnam has invited the Buddha's benefits. The commemoration of the Buddha's grace from India - a treasure of all of humanity during the 2025 Vesak Festival is also a very important cultural diplomatic event, contributing to spreading the message of solidarity between countries.
Throughout the 2025 Vesak Festival, many tourism businesses and travel companies introduce special spiritual tours in Vietnam.
According to tourism and travel businesses, the Vesak 2025 Tour series not only includes worship activities, but also focuses on flexible tour itineraries in terms of time, route and content, meeting the needs of spiritual experiences.
Tourists have the opportunity to attend peace praying ceremonies, release flowers to pray for peace, enjoy vegetarian cuisine, visit and learn about local culture associated with Buddhist life.
