Located about 20 km from Con Son Island, with an area of less than 2 hectares, Hon Trung is seen from afar in an egg-like shape, with a simple appearance of only stone and birds, no big trees. However, hidden on this small island is a " bird sanctuary" with the highest density of natural breeding in Vietnam.

Hon Trung is located in Con Dao National Park, a "border" area for tourists but is a paradise for birds. Ngo Tran Hai An is a rare photographer who recently set foot in Hon Trung to take a photo shoot about the nature here with the support of national park officials. His travel and photography are supervised because all activities on the island must strictly comply with conservation regulations.

Hon Trung plays an important stop for migratory birds on the route across the East Sea, and is also a breeding and feeding ground for many native birds. Strict conservation contributes to maintaining ecological balance in the Con Dao sea area as well as bringing important significance in the study of flowers on the adaptation andolution of species in the isolated island environment.

Photographer Ngo Tran Hai An shared: Today, the protection of Hon Trung is carried out very strictly: The island has 24/24 surveillance cameras installed, controlling all activities and ecological developments. All illegal activities are strictly prohibited. No tourism or sightseeing activities are allowed. The Con Dao National Park Management Board has built a very methodical and meticulous protection process to ensure absolute safety for this fragile ecosystem.

Through the photo series, Mr. Hai An hopes to convey the message: Hon Trung is a testament to the diverse nature that needs to be preserved and is very proud of Vietnam. Love nature without having to explore at all costs, please respect and protect it for future generations.
