According to the Kien Giang Department of Tourism, the number of tourists to the province on 1.5 is estimated at more than 80,600, an increase of 44.3% over the same period. Of which, nearly 5,600 were international visitors, an increase of 4.1% over the same period; more than 31,300 were overnight visitors, an increase of 20.6% over the same period. Total revenue from tourism reached VND 238.1 billion, up 66.6% over the same period.
Phu Quoc City alone is estimated to welcome more than 34,300 visitors, an increase of 5.8% over the same period; of which international visitors were more than 5,100, an increase of 3.6% over the same period; overnight visitors were more than 15,300, an increase of 11% over the same period.
In total, during the 2 days (April 30 and 1.5), Kien Giang welcomed more than 143,200 visitors, of which more than 11,800 were international visitors, more than 57,300 were overnight visitors, with total revenue of more than 458 billion VND.
Phu Quoc City alone is expected to welcome more than 63,300 visitors, including more than 10,800 international visitors and nearly 29,000 overnight visitors.
According to Director of Kien Giang Department of Tourism Bui Quoc Thai, on the occasion of the April 30 and 1.5 holidays this year, civil servants, public employees and workers will have many days off, which is a favorable condition for them to go sightseeing and travel with relatives and friends.

The Department has issued a document to direct and request the Cultural and Information Department of districts and cities of localities to strengthen the state management of tourism in the area. Actively coordinate with relevant agencies and units to inspect and supervise the observance of the provisions of the law on: ensuring service quality, food hygiene and safety, regulations on price registration, listing of service prices ... Especially tourist areas, amusement parks, entertainment, accommodation facilities and vehicles transporting tourist tourists before, during and after the ceremony.
Organize a serious on-duty team, promptly resolve difficulties, problems, and incidents arising related to security, order, safety for tourists, environmental sanitation, service quality, and prices. Do not let the situation of raising prices, forcing prices, or soliciting tourists happen, which negatively affects the tourism image of the locality.
