The festival is also an event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and in response to the 2027 APEC Summit being held in Phu Quoc City.
At the same time, it is an opportunity to promote the unique culinary quintessence, typical OCOP products of Phu Quoc and districts and cities in Kien Giang province, as a bridge for cultural exchange and tourism, bringing visitors experiences in Phu Quoc.

Phu Quoc is currently a destination that attracts many domestic and international tourists, so the festival not only contributes to promoting the beauty of the culture, traditional cuisine, and people on the island, but also serves as a stepping stone to prepare for the upcoming APEC 2027 event in Phu Quoc, Mr. Phong emphasized.

According to Kien Giang Department of Tourism, on April 30 (the first day of the holiday), the total number of tourists to Kien Giang was estimated at more than 62,600 visitors, up 57.6% over the same period; Of which foreign visitors are more than 6,200 times, up 3.5% over the same period; Guests stayed more than 26,000 times, up 28.4% over the same period. The total revenue reached 220 billion dong, up 55.6% over the same period.
Phu Quoc City alone is estimated to welcome more than 29,000 visitors, an increase of 25.5% over the same period; of which international visitors were more than 5,700, an increase of 2.1% over the same period; overnight visitors were more than 13,600, an increase of 23.5% over the same period.
