On the afternoon of January 30 (the second day of Tet), Mr. Bui Quoc Thai - Director of Kien Giang Department of Tourism said that in the first two days of the new year, the locality welcomed more than 100,000 visitors to visit and relax; total revenue from tourism is estimated at more than 440 billion VND.
Phu Quoc City and Ha Tien are two localities chosen by many tourists to visit and relax during the first days of the new year. Phu Quoc City is expected to welcome more than 66,000 visitors, including more than 18,000 international visitors. Meanwhile, Ha Tien City also welcomed more than 22,800 visitors.
During the Lunar New Year 2025, tourist attractions in Phu Quoc are being invested by businesses to improve service quality and attract visitors.
Also today, Phu Quoc welcomed about 55 incoming flights; about 40 trains and ferries from the mainland to Phu Quoc.
From January 25 to January 30 (26th of Tet to 2nd of Tet), the total number of tourists to Kien Giang is estimated at more than 230,000, of which nearly 51,000 are international visitors and more than 91,000 are overnight visitors.
