Pho restaurant has long been a favorite address of many "pho lovers" in Hanoi.
Mr. Hoang Quang Dung - the owner of the restaurant, is a person who loves pho very much. When he was young, he did not have the opportunity to eat pho regularly. When he grew up, he worked as a kitchen assistant at a famous pho restaurant. After many years of learning the trade and accumulating experience, he decided to open his own pho restaurant.
The restaurant serves many different types of pho such as rare pho, well-done pho, flank, beef brisket pho, wine sauce... Of which, beef brisket pho and wine sauce pho are the two most popular dishes at the restaurant.
It is the sweet, clear, rich broth with a light aroma that has kept many diners coming back. The owner's secret is to always add a little chopped ginger to the bowl of pho. According to Mr. Dung, the spiciness of the ginger will help the flavor of the pho bowl to be richer, and is also good for the health of the person enjoying it.
Mr. Khoa Hung (1989, Hanoi) commented: "The bowl of pho here is full, the broth is rich, although the restaurant is always crowded, the service is very fast. The small restaurant in a level 4 house reminds me of the house my family used to live in when I was a child."
The restaurant space is quite simple, just a small house with 7-8 wooden tables, but it is always full. The restaurant door is also full of cars of customers coming to eat.
Every day, the restaurant imports nearly 50kg of various types of beef and sells out nearly a quintal of pho cakes, equivalent to 400 - 500 bowls. On holidays, the restaurant even sells more. The restaurant's menu includes rare and well-done pho, beef pho with wine sauce...
The restaurant opens from 6am to 9pm. Each bowl of pho here costs from 40,000 - 60,000 VND/bowl.
Ms. Thu Ha (office worker, Hanoi) said: "The restaurant is open all day, has many dishes so you can stop by anytime. One downside is that the restaurant is crowded so sometimes the staff doesn't have time to clean up. Quan Nhan Street is also small so there are often traffic jams, especially during rush hours."
