Vietnam team is a tough opponent for India team

HOÀNG HUÊ |

Coach Manolo Marquez of the Indian team highly appreciates the Vietnamese team and has high expectations for the friendly match between the two teams during FIFA Days in October.

On the afternoon of October 11, at Thien Truong Stadium (Nam Dinh), a press conference took place before the friendly match between Vietnam and India during FIFA Days in October 2024.

Coach Manolo Marquez of the Indian team shared: "This will be a good match for the Indian team when playing against the Vietnamese team - a team that reached the third qualifying round of the World Cup. We also know the development of Vietnamese football in recent years. I believe the Vietnamese team is a difficult opponent. We will compete and believe that we are also a difficult opponent for the other team.

Finding information about the home team is not difficult. I have grasped the players who are capable of scoring goals in the Vietnamese team. The other team has a good defense and plays effective attack, but we came here with the hope of ending the winless streak of the Indian team."

The strategist said that although the preparation time was not long, the good weather supported the training of the Indian team. Mr. Manolo Marquez expressed his confidence that the two teams will have a good match tomorrow.

Meanwhile, player Suresh Singh Wangjam set a goal: "We came here for a win because the Indian team has not won for a while. The Vietnamese team is a good team but we have prepared thoroughly, with 5 training sessions. The whole team understands each other and the coaching staff's intentions. My teammates and I want to contribute everything we have for tomorrow's match."

The match between Vietnam and India will take place at 6:00 p.m. on October 12 at Thien Truong Stadium, Nam Dinh.
