On the afternoon of August 9, the Labor Union of Diên Khánh District (Khánh Hòa) held a ceremony to award the Commemorative Medal for the Cause of Building the Trade Union, expressing gratitude to workers and commending outstanding trade union officials.
Mr. Nguyễn Thắng Anh Minh, Chairman of the Labor Union of Diên Khánh District, said that after 49 years of establishment, the Labor Union of the district is managing 116 trade union chapters with 3,045 members. Through 12 congresses, the Diên Khánh District Trade Union has achieved many outstanding achievements in building the labor movement, improving the living standards and working conditions of workers and laborers.
The trade unions at all levels have launched and implemented meaningful and effective patriotic emulation movements, creating a positive response from workers, civil servants, and laborers in the area.
The development of organizations has always been given priority, with 100% of administrative agencies and public service units having trade union organizations; the number of enterprises with trade union organizations in 1995 was 5 state-owned enterprise trade union chapters with over 100 members, while today there are 27 enterprise trade union chapters, 2 private school trade union chapters with over 1,000 members.
In the new term, the Labor Union of the district is striving to compete and strive to contribute to the development of the district into a city and become a green, cultural, and traditional city according to Resolution 09 of the Politburo.
On this occasion, the Labor Union of the district awarded 14 Commemorative Medals for the Cause of Building the Trade Union, commended 6 collectives and 41 outstanding trade union officials. Notably, the Labor Union of the district presented gifts to express gratitude to 30 workers who have made significant contributions to enterprises and the trade union.
Recognizing the contributions of the team of officials and trade union organizations over the past time, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Đồng, a member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee of Diên Khánh, hopes that the trade unions at all levels will continue to pay attention to the living standards of workers, listen to their concerns, and promptly resolve their legitimate demands.
