Realizing the dream of settling down, taking care of workers thoughtfully
At a large-scale enterprise in the province, Mr. Tien proactively coordinated with the Board of Directors to develop dialogue regulations, organize periodic dialogues 4 times/year and unexpectedly when necessary, promptly listen to and satisfactorily resolve the legitimate questions and aspirations of workers. Thanks to that, the collective labor agreement has many clauses that are more beneficial than the law, such as increasing allowances, bonuses, rest regimes and ensuring quality meals worth 20,000 VND/person.
Not only caring for his rights at work, Mr. Tien also pays special attention to the circumstances and lives of each worker's family. From 2008 - 2024, he and the Trade Union supported 388 Trade Union Shelter houses, with a total amount of nearly 12.6 billion VND, helping many workers in difficult circumstances have stable housing, feel secure in their work and be attached to the business for a long time.
Among them is worker Nguyen Thi Diem Thuy, My Tu hamlet, My Thuan commune, Vinh Long province. She said that before, her family was in difficulty, the old house was degraded, sunny days, wet rainy days, and she never thought about building a solid house. Thanks to Mr. Tien's mobilization and support, her family has a new house, thereby adding motivation to work and be attached to the company and the Trade Union organization.
From Trade Union Warm Houses to gifts for holidays and Tet, the care of the Trade Union is also present in things close to workers' lives. Worker Tran Thanh Tam confided that every holiday and Tet he receives gifts from the Trade Union and the company, helping his family reduce daily living expenses. Besides caring for material things, Mr. Tien also pays attention to the spiritual life of workers. The Chairman of the Grassroots Trade Union regularly organizes cultural, artistic, and sports activities, creating playgrounds for workers to relax after hard working days, thereby improving spiritual life and regenerating labor.
Effective negotiation, affirming the role of representative of workers
Mr. Tien informed that the company has 20,801 union members out of a total of 20,981 employees, reaching a rate of 99.14%. Over the past time, he and the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union maintained periodic dialogues 4 times/year, receiving and satisfactorily resolving 10 groups of opinions of employees in 2025 on social insurance, health insurance and bonus policies.
At the same time, he proactively negotiated and signed a Collective Labor Agreement with 4 beneficial contents regarding overtime pay, 13 contents on allowances and bonuses, 2 contents on separate leave enjoying full salary and 6 other contents.
Mr. Tien shared: "The joy, smiles and peace of mind at work of tens of thousands of workers are the biggest motivation for me to diligently dedicate myself; as long as I have health, I will dedicate myself to protecting legitimate rights and bringing better benefits to workers.
Assessing the contributions of these excellent grassroots trade union officials, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation, said that Mr. Tien is a dynamic and creative grassroots trade union president, implementing many practical activities to care for union members' lives. Over the past time, he has coordinated with the Provincial Labor Federation to implement many social security programs, dialogues and collective negotiations effectively.
Mr. Tien was also commended at many levels, such as Certificates of Merit from Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation in 2023, 2024; Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2024 and Emulation Flags of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2024...
Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh hopes that in the coming time, Mr. Tien will continue to promote the spirit of responsibility, dynamism, creativity, always be a solid support, accompany and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers, contributing to building stable labor relations at this enterprise.
