On September 5, a large number of officers and soldiers of the Border Guard of Lam Dong province attended the opening ceremony of the 2026 - 2027 school year at schools in border and island areas.

The presence of Border Guard soldiers at school sites not only encourages teachers and students to enter the new school year but also shows their commitment to the cause of education in the area.
In particular, at Quang Truc and Thuan An Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary Schools, the 2026 - 2027 school year marks a new step in development when two schools have just been inaugurated, put into use and welcomed the first students.
Schools are invested synchronously, creating a better learning and living environment for students in border areas, contributing to improving the quality of education and caring for the young generation.
In the process of building the school, the Border Guard of Lam Dong province has increased 50 officers and soldiers to participate in support.

Officers and soldiers not only contribute working days but also coordinate with schools and localities to build landscapes, learning environments and care for students' lives.
Supporting dreams to go to school
On the occasion of the new school year, the Border Guard of Lam Dong province continues to implement many activities to care for students in difficult circumstances.
Through the "Raising Steps to School" program, the units awarded scholarships to 254 students, including 12 Cambodian students; and supported tuition fees, textbooks and essential supplies.

These supports contribute to helping disadvantaged students have more conditions to attend classes, limiting the risk of dropping out of school due to family circumstances.
The "Children of the Border Guard Station" model continues to be maintained with 7 students in special circumstances who are welcomed and cared for by the border guard stations from studying, living to daily life.
In addition to material support, officers and soldiers also give care and affection like relatives, becoming a support for them to feel secure in studying and growing up.

The Women's Union of the Border Guard of Lam Dong province also maintains the "Parental Mother" program, receiving support and accompanying 5 orphaned students in difficult circumstances.
According to Senior Colonel Tran Viet Hung - Political Commissar of the Border Guard Command of Lam Dong province, coordinating with schools and caring for students in border and island areas is a task that the unit determines to implement regularly and long-term.
Through this, the Border Guard Command wishes to create conditions for students, especially those in difficult circumstances, to study in a better environment, feel secure in going to school and nurture their dreams.
Educational care activities also contribute to improving people's knowledge, improving people's lives, associated with consolidating national defense, security and protecting national territorial sovereignty and border security.
From schools in border areas, the image of Border Guard soldiers standing side by side with teachers and students on the opening day continues to nurture military-civilian relations, contributing to building a young generation with knowledge and responsibility to their homeland and country.
