On August 20, the Border Guard Command (BĐBP) of Lam Dong province coordinated with the Provincial Women's Union (LHPN) to organize the launching ceremony of the program "Accompanying Border Women" for the period 2026 - 2030 in Quang Truc border commune.
The program is organized to continue to express gratitude, share, and support women and people in border areas; create conditions for women to develop the economy, stabilize their lives, improve their material and spiritual lives, and at the same time promote the role of women in participating in protecting national territorial sovereignty and border security.
The highlight of the program is the launching ceremony of the "Bien Cuong Pig" model, built with the spirit of "One penny saved every day - one sense of gratitude every month - more and more circumstances are helped each year".
The model aims to mobilize Border Guard officers and soldiers, women's union officials and members and organizations and individuals to join hands to support children, students in difficult circumstances, poor women, and policy families; and at the same time support appropriate livelihoods, helping women in border areas develop a sustainable economy.
In particular, the model "Digitalizing Women's Self-Management Groups on Border Roads and Landmarks" was launched, marking a new step in promoting the role of women in participating in protecting territorial sovereignty and border security.
The application of technology, digitizing information about border lines, landmarks and equipping connecting means will help women's union members improve their ability to grasp the situation and promptly exchange information with functional forces. At the launching ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented smartphones to 5 model members.
Colonel Tran Viet Hung, Political Commissar of the Border Guard Command of Lam Dong province shared: "The program "Accompanying Border Women" for the period 2026 - 2030 continues to affirm the close coordination between the Border Guard and the Women's Union at all levels in caring for people's lives, especially women and children in border areas.
Thereby, contributing to building a solid "people's heart formation", consolidating military-civilian solidarity, creating motivation for women in border areas to confidently rise up, join forces with the Border Guard force to build the border area of Lam Dong to become increasingly stable and developed.
