The training class for the Ede ethnic people in Dak Lak contributes to preserving cultural heritage and promoting traditional values to serve tourism.

Implementing Plan No. 3179/KH-BVHTTDL dated June 2, 2026 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on organizing training to improve and teach intangible culture of ethnic groups to preserve and promote cultural values to serve tourism development, the Department of Culture of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province organized a training class for the Ede ethnic people in the province.

The program is implemented with the aim of raising people's awareness of the value of intangible cultural heritage types and traditional folk knowledge.

At the same time, this is also a practical activity to preserve unique cultural values that are facing the risk of fading, contributing to building cultural products to serve community tourism development, creating livelihoods and improving the lives of local people.

The training class takes place in 3 days, from June 11 to June 13, 2026 at KoTam Ecology - Culture - Community Area (No. 789 Pham Van Dong Street, Tan Lap Ward, Dak Lak Province).

Participating in the program were 105 students who are Ede ethnic people from communes and wards in the province. Among them are 5 artisans, people who understand traditional culture, have experience in teaching and guiding in the community; and 100 students who are reputable people, village elders and local people who do not receive salaries from the state budget, certified by the local government.

The training content includes two main parts. The in-depth training part focuses on topics on preserving and promoting intangible cultural values associated with sustainable tourism development.

The practical teaching part is directly guided by artisans on typical literary and folk art forms of the Ede ethnic group such as epic singing (klei khan), rhyming words (klei duê Ede), giao duyen singing (ei rei) and skills in using traditional musical instruments to serve folk performance forms.

Through the training class, the traditional cultural values of the Ede ethnic group continue to be passed on to the next generation, contributing to preserving the national cultural identity.

This is also an opportunity to build unique cultural tourism products, create conditions for tourists to experience indigenous cultural life, strengthen exchanges and solidarity between ethnic groups and enrich the spiritual life of local communities.
