On October 8, at Tay Bac Square, thousands of people, students, and soldiers attended the Photo Exhibition "Son La - 130 years of historical imprints and development aspirations" and the Book Exhibition "Son La - Legendary land" organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
More than 150 documents, images, artifacts and more than 100 books have recreated the 130-year journey of formation, construction and innovation of Son La.

Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee also launched "Lifetime Learning Response Week" and "Son La Book Fair" in 2025, to encourage the reading culture and spread the spirit of learning in the community.
The cultural space of the Mong, Thai, Kho Mu, Dao ethnic groups... is vividly recreated with the floor-to-house, traditional wooden houses, cuisine and typical costumes. The exhibition "Dream of the Chaos" (advising the lover) introduces the installation, performance and painting works of artists Thu Tran, Tay Phong, Le Minh Tam and Nguyen Tran Thao Nguyen.

Along with that, the Thai Boi Art Festival program and the performance of festival and traditional ceremony excerpts of ethnic groups in Son La province attracted 23 teams from communes and wards in the area.

The national sports tournament attracted 150 athletes from Chieng Co, Chieng Sinh, To Hieu and Chieng An wards, participating in the sports of tug of war, stick pushing, con, acted upon, and shot.

The festival takes place from October 8 and ends with the award ceremony on the evening of October 10, 2025.
The Cultural Festival has become a colorful cultural destination, spreading the pride, solidarity and development aspirations of the Son La ethnic groups in the new journey.
