On March 31, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee just issued a plan to organize "Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Days" 2026 in the area, with a series of rich cultural, sports and exhibition activities, contributing to honoring national identity and strengthening the great national unity bloc.
The festival is organized to celebrate the success of the 14th National Party Congress; the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term; and at the same time concretize Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW dated January 7, 2026 of the Politburo on the development of Vietnamese culture.
This is also an activity towards the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of Khanh Hoa province and the Liberation of the South, national reunification; thereby contributing to honoring, preserving and promoting the cultural values of ethnic groups, consolidating the great national unity bloc.
According to the plan, the main activities of the Festival will take place from April 16-18, 2026. In which, cultural programs, exchanges, performances, exhibitions and parades will be held at 16/4 Square (Dong Hai ward). The Ethnic Minority Sports Festival will be held at the Provincial Sports Competition Service Center (Bao An ward).
Notably, the exhibition "Colors of Vietnamese Ethnic Culture" has a longer duration of organization, from April 15 - 19, 2026, to serve the sightseeing needs of people and tourists.
In terms of content, the Festival includes many activities such as: Ethnic minority sports festivals with traditional sports; cultural exchange programs, ethnic costume performances; exhibitions introducing images and typical cultural products; mobile propaganda parades and visual propaganda and encouragement activities.
Within the framework of the Festival, the Organizing Committee will commend outstanding individuals, prestigious people, artisans, and artists who are ethnic minorities; and award gold, silver, bronze medals and team flags to collectives and individuals who achieved high results at the Sports Festival.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to be the standing agency, responsible for guiding, urging, and inspecting the implementation of the plan; advising on the establishment of the Organizing Committee, developing the program script and speeches of the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee at the cultural exchange night.
In addition, the Provincial Police coordinated to ensure security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting; the Department of Health ensured medical work; the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religion coordinated to propagate and mobilize ethnic minorities to participate; press agencies and Khanh Hoa Tourism Association strengthened the promotion of the event.
