The colors of national culture spread at Vietnamese Family Day 2026

A series of unique ethnic cultural activities will take place at the Village of Culture - Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups in June, celebrating Vietnamese Family Day 2026.

Towards the 25th anniversary of Vietnamese Family Day (June 28, 2001 - June 28, 2026), the Village of Culture - Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups organizes a series of cultural, experiential and community exchange activities on the weekends of June.

The program promises to bring visitors rich experiences of national identity at the "Common House" of the community of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam.

On June 20-21, activities will take place in the space of Ba Na ethnic village. The highlight is the folk song and dance program "Celebrating Family Day", recreating the joyful and cohesive atmosphere of the Central Highlands villages. Participating in the program are also ethnic communities living and operating regularly in the Village.

In particular, on June 20, the "Vietnamese Family Home" theme will create opportunities for families from Hung Yen to interact with the Central Highlands people, and learn about the unique cultural features of the great forest land through experiential activities and community meetings.

On the morning of June 21, the Ba Na people will recreate the So Mang Kơcham Festival - a traditional ritual with profound spiritual meaning. After the ceremony, visitors can participate in the culinary space "Going to the Kitchen with the Central Highlands People", experience processing and enjoying typical dishes such as bamboo tube bamboo rice, bitter eggplant soup and many familiar flavors of the mountains and forests.

In parallel with that is a series of activities introducing culture and tourism of Gia Lai and Hung Yen. Visitors will visit display areas of images, books, and documents about the locality; learn about traditional handicrafts; experience brocade weaving, weaving, sculpting statues; explore gong art, folk songs, folk dances and folk games.

Many local products and unique dishes of the Central Highlands and Vietnamese family meals will also be introduced to the public.

On the weekend of June 27-28, the E De village festival space will become a rendezvous point for the "Sum hop mot nha" exchange program. The activity gathers ethnic communities living in the Village and families from many regions, contributing to spreading the spirit of solidarity, sharing and the sacred values of Vietnamese families.

Through the series of events, the Village of Culture - Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups not only contributes to preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of ethnic groups, but also creates a space for meeting and connecting families to preserve meaningful moments in the month of love and reunion.
