At the program, the Organizing Committee presented 20 gifts to policy families in Long Son commune (Ho Chi Minh City) (each gift worth 2 million VND); 20 gifts to 20 children of fishermen sponsored by Naval Region 2 (each gift worth 3 million VND); 40 gifts to soldiers with difficult family circumstances (each gift worth 2 million VND); and 17 gifts for policy families under agencies and units directly under the Region.

Speaking at the program, Colonel Do Hong Duyen - Deputy Political Commissar of Naval Region 2 emphasized that the program "Spring joins hands to protect the sea - Tet is full of military-civilian affection" is an opportunity for officers and soldiers of Naval Region 2 and local people to share the joy of welcoming Tet, spreading affection, and igniting the warmth of Spring at the forefront of waves and winds. Through the program, it contributes to propagating and educating the beauty of traditional Tet culture of the nation; arousing the spirit of mutual affection and love in each officer, union member, and youth; and at the same time visiting and encouraging policy families, fishermen's children and those in difficult circumstances.

Sharing the joy of participating in the program, Le Trieu Tuan Viet, a 7th grade student at Binh Chau 2 Secondary School (Long Son commune, Ho Chi Minh City), said: "After 3 years of being sponsored by Naval Region 2, regularly caring, encouraging, supporting, and helping to reduce difficulties for my family, it has created motivation for me to try to study better. I will strive to study hard to become a Navy soldier".
