On July 27, Xuan Son Commune People's Committee (HCMC) said that the "One Day as a Soldier" experience program in 2026 organized by the Commune Summer Steering Committee in coordination with the Commune Military Command has attracted more than 150 children and students in the area to participate.
In the program, children and students were introduced to the traditions of the Vietnamese Self-Defense Militia; propagated the meaning of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day July 27, thereby educating the young generation about gratitude to heroic martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers and generations of fathers and brothers who have contributed and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
In addition, children and students also have the practical experience of a series of activities in the military environment such as: learning about soldiers' lifestyles; practicing team regulations, arranging internal affairs; experiencing martial arts training; increasing production; participating in movement games and collective activities to train team spirit, organization and discipline. Through visual and vivid content, it has contributed to helping children better understand the life, learning process, training and training of soldiers; at the same time, forming a sense of responsibility, spirit of solidarity, self-reliance and will to overcome difficulties in learning and life.
According to Xuan Son Commune People's Committee, the program "One Day as a Soldier" is one of the meaningful summer activities for children and students in the commune. Through a practical playground, children not only have fun and study healthily, but also train discipline, solidarity, self-reliance and life skills. At the same time, strengthen revolutionary tradition education, love for homeland and country and help children have more useful and memorable experiences during the summer vacation.
