Mr. Pham Van Thinh - Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee - chaired the reception and working session with Yangzhou University (China) to exchange information on investment, demand for high-tech human resources and cooperation opportunities for joint training.
Also attending the working session were representatives of leaders of a number of departments, branches, units and Micro Commercial Components Vietnam Co., Ltd. (MCC).
At the working session, Mr. Li Qingqiang, Deputy Director of the Institute of International Education, Yangzhou University (China) expressed his desire to promote a cooperation program to train high-quality human resources, directly serving the electronics, semiconductor and high-tech industries of Bac Ninh province.
Representatives of Duong Chau University said that with the outstanding industrial development rate as it is today, in the coming years, Bac Ninh will especially need a team of semiconductor engineers, automation engineers and technical management teams capable of working in an international environment.
With a long history of multidisciplinary training, the unit is committed to offering the most optimal scholarship policies and tuition support, creating maximum conditions for Bac Ninh students to study and work long-term in industrial parks in the province.
Speaking at the working session, Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh welcomed the promising cooperation orientation from Duong Chau University.
Mr. Pham Van Thinh affirmed that the 3-party linkage model (Government - School - Enterprise) is a breakthrough solution, consistent with the strategic orientation to make Bac Ninh a leading microchip and semiconductor production center in the region in the period 2030 - 2045.
To quickly put the working content into practice, the Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee directed the Department of Education and Training to be the focal point; Bac Ninh province will establish a specialized working group to promptly support and connect human resource training through the cooperation program between Duong Chau University and vocational and university education institutions in the province.
Schools proactively coordinate, make specific work plans and agree on implementation time; if problems arise, the Working Group will promptly remove them.
In addition, the province encourages the immediate implementation of short-term cooperation programs such as short-term exchanges between lecturers and students of the two countries.
For the long-term training system, Mr. Pham Van Thinh encouraged the implementation of a flexible transition roadmap (from college to university with a study period of about 2 years).
Regarding the enrollment process and scholarship awarding, the Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee requested Duong Chau University to soon have an official document sent to Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee, which details the scholarship policies.
MCC Co., Ltd. is the focal point, coordinating with the school in widely announcing and receiving applications from candidates.
After the process of receiving applications and preliminary selection at the local level, the Provincial People's Committee proposed that Duong Chau University coordinate to organize an official interview and selection round in the form of direct and online combinations to create the most favorable conditions for candidates.
