On April 11, in An Giang, the Provincial Representative Board of the Islamic Community (Islam) coordinated with local authorities to organize the handover of Great Solidarity houses to two poor households who are Cham people living in Chau Phong commune.
The two households that received houses include Ms. Sa La Mah (born in 1963, residing in Chau Giang hamlet) and Mr. A No (born in 1956, residing in Phum Soai hamlet). These are both families with difficult housing circumstances in the locality, who need support to stabilize their lives. Each house is worth 90 million VND. The funding is mobilized by the Representative Board of the Islamic Community (Islam) of An Giang province from domestic and foreign philanthropists, through the connection of members of the Representative Board.
According to the content of the decision, households who are awarded houses are responsible for managing and using them for the right purpose, maintaining them for a long time; they are not allowed to transfer or pledge them in any form. The Management Boards of related churches coordinate with local authorities to be responsible for monitoring and supervising the use of houses after handover.
The activity of donating houses of great national unity is a practical work, showing the spirit of mutual affection, contributing to caring for the lives of ethnic minorities and religious people in the area. Thereby, continuing to consolidate the great national unity bloc, joining hands to build an increasingly sustainable community.
