On October 29, Lieutenant Colonel Au Thanh Tri, Head of Vinh Dieu Border Guard Station, An Giang Provincial Border Guard Command, said: Currently, the unit is continuing to send forces, bringing weapons and dry food, marching down to the area to help people harvest flooded crops.
Over the past 3 days, more than 100 officers and soldiers of Vinh Dieu Border Guard Station, in coordination with local forces, authorities and youth, have helped people harvest the fields of potatoes, vegetables and fruits of many households in Vinh Dieu commune.
Ms. Pham Thi Nhiem (born in 1952) has 190 hectares of land for growing cassava but is deeply flooded. The forces have supported harvesting about 2 tons of cassava to help Ms. Nhiem somewhat reduce the damage.

Currently, heavy rain is still continuing, the water is rising, all fields in the commune are flooded. Water continues to overflow to higher locations, causing damage to life and production.
"The forces are still trying to help people harvest crops, in the spirit of minimizing damage to the people", said Lieutenant Colonel Au Thanh Tri.
The Provincial Border Guard Command also said that currently all Border Guard units on the ground are also mobilizing maximum human resources to help people fight floods and overcome the consequences of incidents and natural disasters.
