According to the Northern Drug and Crime Prevention and Control Task Force, Border Guard, on March 3, 2025, in the area of Mac Dinh Chi Street, Ka Long Ward, Mong Cai City, Quang Ninh Province, the Northern Drug and Crime Prevention and Control Task Force, the Department of Drug and Crime Prevention and Control, Border Guard presided over and coordinated with Mong Cai International Border Guard Station, under the Quang Ninh Provincial Border Guard to arrest the subject Van Lich who was transporting and renting 252 Iphone mobile phones of various types (old, used) without documents proving their origin.
Up to now, the legal owner of the above shipment has not come to receive it. Based on the regulations, the above goods are high-end electronic goods (smartphones), goods and items that are prone to damage if not handled immediately after the decision to temporarily detain or confiscation decision will be damaged, unable to sell or have expired.
According to regulations, the form of handling the above exhibits is to sell them directly (without auction). The unit will sell the exhibits (252 phones) of administrative violations to contribute to the state budget according to the provisions of law.
To ensure the handling of the temporarily detained exhibits in accordance with the provisions of law, the Northern Drug and Crime Prevention Task Force recommends that anyone who is the legal owner of the above exhibits come to Mong Cai International Border Guard Station to resolve the matter. If after 1 year from the date of issuance of the notice, the legal owner does not come to receive it, the Northern Drug and Crime Prevention Task Force will establish procedures for handling according to the provisions of law.
