Border guards and women's associations accompany border women in Quang Tri

Quang Tri - The support of the border guards and women's associations has strengthened the belief and aroused the will to rise up of women's union members in the border area of Quang Tri province.

On July 15, in lia commune and A Doi commune (Quang Tri province), the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union (VWA) coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard Command, the Quang Tri Provincial Women's Union, the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command and Thanh and Ba Tang Border Guard Stations to summarize the "Accompanying Border Women" Program for the period 2021-2025.

At the summary conference, many meaningful and practical activities were implemented. The units donated 4 community water wells, worth a total of 180 million VND, to help people improve living conditions and environmental sanitation. At the same time, 35 livelihood models worth 210 million VND were presented to support women in developing their family economy and increasing sustainable income.

The organizing committee also presented 210 gifts to female members in difficult circumstances in the two communes, worth 63 million VND, contributing to encouraging spirit and sharing difficulties in life. In addition, 153 people in lia commune received free medical examinations and medicine with a total cost of about 27 million VND.

The total value of gifts and support of the program reached 480 million VND.

The program "Accompanying Border Women" for the period 2021-2025 has contributed to strengthening the trust, arousing the will to rise up of women members, while strengthening the solidarity and closeness between officers and soldiers of the Border Guard and the people of all ethnic groups in the border area.
