Quang Tri - The gifts bring joy to disadvantaged families in the border area, contributing to strengthening the affection between the Border Guard and the people.

On June 28, in the Vietnam - Laos border area, La Lay International Border Guard Station coordinated with the Xu Doai Volunteer Group (Son Tay, Hanoi) to organize a charity program to give gifts to local people.

At the program, the organizing committee presented 155 gifts to policy families, students and local people. Each gift is worth 700,000 VND, including necessities and cash with a total value of the program of up to 110 million VND.

The organizing committee also presented gifts to students in the programs "Helping children go to school", "Adopted children of the Border Guard Station", and "Cadres and soldiers project to help children go to school", to support children in especially difficult circumstances.

This activity demonstrates the morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking water", showing gratitude to families with preferential policies, people with revolutionary contributions and ethnic minorities in the border area.

On the same day, at the headquarters of the People's Committee of Ba Tang commune (Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province), the Women's Union of the commune in coordination with Ba Tang Border Guard Station distributed 36 breeding goats of the "goat livelihood model" to 18 poor households in the commune, with a total value of 108 million VND. This support program not only helps improve the lives of poor households but also contributes to the development of sustainable livelihoods for local communities.
