On July 5, La Lay International Border Guard Station (Quang Tri province) said that on July 4 and 6, La Lay International Border Guard Station coordinated with organizations and volunteer groups to organize a program to give gifts and domestic water wells to people and students in La Lay commune (Dakrong district).
Accordingly, La Lay International Border Guard Station coordinated and connected with the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Office Delegation, the Vietnam Charity Association Volunteer Group, the Hanoi Youth Volunteer Association, the Vaeco Han Volunteer Group, and the Vietnam Archives Enterprise Association to carry out a meaningful program in 4 villages: Pire 1, Pire 2, La Lay and Ty Ne.
The organizing committee presented 426 gifts to the people, policy beneficiaries and students in the area. Each gift is worth 300,000 VND, including essential necessities such as rice, cooking oil, instant noodles, candy and cash.
Within the framework of the program, 4 domestic water wells worth 45 million VND/ well were donated, helping to improve living conditions and activities for people in border areas with many difficulties. The total cost of organizing the program is 307.8 million VND.
This volunteer activity shows the deep gratitude of officers and soldiers of the La Lay International Border Guard Station and accompanying units to the people of the border area - those who are always on the shoulder, side by side, and cover the Border Guard force in the cause of managing and protecting territorial sovereignty and border security of the Fatherland.
