On June 17, the An Giang Provincial Border Guard solemnly celebrated the 49th anniversary of the Traditional Day (June 17, 1976 - June 17, 2025) and received the Second Class Military Exploit Order.
On June 17, 1976, the People's Armed Police Command, now the Vietnam Border Guard Command, issued Decision No. 10/QD and on June 21, 1976, issued Decision No. 04/QD approving the structure, organization, quantity and names of Border Guard Stations of the An Giang Provincial People's Armed Police. Since then, June 17 has become the traditional day of the An Giang Provincial Border Guard.
After 49 years, with the spirit of "the place is home, the border is the homeland and the people of all ethnic groups are brothers", no matter what front, officers and soldiers of the An Giang Provincial Border Guard also uphold the awareness of self-reliance, self-strengthening, solidarity, bravery, intelligence, creativity, determination to excellently complete assigned tasks; achieving many outstanding feats...
Thereby, the Party and State awarded him the Second, Third, First and Second Class Military Exploit Medals; the Third Class Fatherland Protection Medals; 03 collectives were awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces; 01 individual was awarded the title of Hero of the Armed Forces in the fight to protect the Southwest border and thousands of collectives and individuals were awarded Medals and Medals of all kinds; F flags leading the emulation movement, Certificates of Merit, Certificates of Merit from all levels for their outstanding achievements in performing their tasks.
During the peak emulation campaign to celebrate the Party and the Spring of At Ty 2025, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, the An Giang Provincial Border Guard has successfully established and fought 4 special projects, arrested 4 cases with 5 subjects, seized nearly 500 firecrackers, 12 kg of gold, 22 kg of various drugs.
From that result, the Border Guard Command, the Ministry of National Defense, and the People's Committee of An Giang province were commended and honored by the President to award 3 Second Class Medals to the An Giang Provincial Border Guard for " making outstanding achievements in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland".
Including: 01 collective and 2 individuals, Colonel Nguyen Quoc Khanh - Commander and Lieutenant Colonel Vo Huy Hoang - Head of Vinh Nguon Border Guard Station.
On this occasion, the Party Committee and the Border Guard Command of An Giang province solemnly held a press conference to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
