Create the most favorable conditions for the construction of key projects
Four working groups led by 4 senior leaders of Ca Mau province were present at key projects of Ca Mau province: Ca Mau - Cai Nuoc Expressway; Nam Can - Dat Mui Expressway; Dat Mui - Hon Khoai Road; Ca Mau Airport.
The No. 1 working group led by Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai had a frank working session with the Truong Son Nam Executive Board (Army Corps 12) at the Ca Mau - Cai Nuoc Expressway Project.
The project, about 36km long connecting to the Can Tho - Ca Mau expressway, is expected to enter the acceleration construction phase in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The construction unit said that the site outside the field has not been handed over 100%. Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai requested localities and relevant units to carry out site clearance work honestly and in accordance with regulations, ensuring legitimate rights for people but at the same time meeting the urgent progress of the project. This is not only a professional task, but also a political responsibility towards the long-standing desire of Ca Mau people for a highway to Dat Mui.
In Dat Mui commune, the working group led by Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Huynh Quoc Viet visited and encouraged officers and soldiers of Army Corps 12 under construction of the Road Project to Hon Khoai Island. This is a "super project" of an overpass about 18km long, with a total investment of about VND 25,700 billion, of special importance in terms of national defense and security and opening up opportunities for breakthrough economic and tourism development.
Despite facing many challenges in harsh weather and sea material transportation, the construction unit is still working hard day and night with the determination to complete the project by the end of 2028.
Comrade Huynh Quoc Viet praised the unit's spirit of overcoming difficulties, and at the same time suggested continuing to ensure absolute safety, quality and progress of this strategic project.
In Phan Ngoc Hien commune, the working group led by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province Pham Thanh Ngai inspected the Cai Nuoc - Dat Mui Expressway Project. Deployed under an emergency order, this project is being focused on by Truong Son 12 Executive Board with maximum human resources and equipment to speed up the progress.
Here, site clearance is taking place relatively smoothly thanks to the close coordination of the government and the consensus of the people. The head of the Ca Mau provincial government highly appreciated the working spirit of the unit, and pledged that the province will continue to pay attention and provide timely support to remove all difficulties, ensuring the project is implemented smoothly, safely and on schedule.
Opening the sky Gate
Unlike the difficulties in the site clearance of the expressway, the Ca Mau Airport Expansion and Upgrade Project is a bright spot in preparation. The working group led by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Thanh Thuy recorded impressive results here.
The project has a large land acquisition scale, affecting more than 610 households, individuals and organizations on an area of over 105 hectares. Up to now, the Provincial Land Fund Development Center has completed the handover of 100% of the site to the investor. Notably, although there are still 57 households that have not received compensation, all have agreed to hand over the site, showing the people's high support for the province's major policy.
Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Thanh Thuy said: When completed, Ca Mau airport will be an important driving force for development in the extreme southern region. He suggested that relevant units continue to closely coordinate to speed up progress, striving to put the airport into operation on schedule flights by the end of September 2026.
The simultaneous inspection of the top leaders of Ca Mau province demonstrated the synchronous determination from the highest level in creating an infrastructure revolution. Four projects, four fronts but all have the same goal: opening up the door to connect, attracting investment, awakening the potential of a land rich in tradition but still facing many difficulties.
