On January 14, Team K91, Political Department - Provincial Military Command completed the exhumation of 2 remains of martyrs during the anti-American resistance war in Phu Hoa 2 hamlet, Phu Huu commune. This is the result from information provided by Mr. Nguyen Van Tu (born in 1946), former Deputy Head of the An Phu Thuan Commune Team, Vinh Long province (during the anti-American resistance war).

According to Mr. Tu, in the period 1969-1972, 11 martyrs of Company 208 Vinh Long sacrificed and were buried in the Go Cao area of Phu Hoa hamlet, An Phu Thuan commune, Chau Thanh district, Dong Thap province (now Phu Hoa 2 hamlet, Phu Huu commune, Dong Thap province). After that, 8 martyrs were buried, the remaining 3 martyrs have not been found. From the information of Mr. Tu and local people, Team K91 proceeded to verify information, survey the location and conduct excavation at Phu Hoa 2 hamlet.

After 2 days of expanding the excavation area with nearly 500 m3 of soil, Team K91 found 2 sets of remains located at a depth of about 1.5 m - 1.8 m. The remains found were wrapped in tarpaulins in wooden boxes (rotten wooden boxes), with many bones and artifacts such as: buttons, umbrellas, tarpaulins, cloth, clothes... Team K91 proceeded to take samples for DNA testing and completed the initial procedures according to regulations. Currently, Team K91 continues to expand the search scope.
