Pagoda and self-honored facilities across the country will ring three bells to pray for national peace on the morning of July 1, 2025.

The Vietnam Buddhist Church Council (Vietnam Buddhist Sangha) issued a written request to the monasteries across the country to celebrate the three empty bells of the national peace of the people in the morning of 1.7.

The document was signed by the Chief Justice Thich Thien Nhon, Deputy Counselor of the Providence Council, Chairman of the Trial Council to the Trial Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of provinces and cities; pagodas and autonomous institutions nationwide.

July 1, 2025 is the first working day of the two-level government model after the time of arrangement and merger to build a "streamlined, compact, strong, efficient, effective and efficient" apparatus.

This is an extremely special historical event in the process of the nation entering a new era of prosperous development. With the Buddhist tradition of accompanying the nation in every historical journey, the Standing Committee of the Tri Tri Tri Council respectfully requests the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces and cities; pagodas and autonomous institutions nationwide to send three bells and three Drums to pray for national peace, recite and perform spiritual rituals to pray for peace, arouse the strength of national unity and the sacred soul of the country's mountains and rivers", the document signed by the Chief Justice Venerable Thich Thien Nhon stated and called for.

In this document, the Church requested that parishioners disseminate and hold solemn ceremonies at 6:00 a.m. on July 1, simultaneously nationwide.

According to Buddhism, the drum sound or bell sound in meditation when playing is both a subtle meaning of warning people to stay up to study. The elegant drum bell is very important in meditation. The elegant drum bell is often played at special legal ceremonies.
