In May, at the Village of Culture and Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups (Doai Phuong commune, Hanoi), a series of unique cultural and artistic events with the theme "Uncle Ho in the hearts of compatriots" took place. The program aims to celebrate the 136th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), and the 72nd anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2026).
The program is organized to continue introducing and promoting the traditional cultural values and customs of the 54 Vietnamese ethnic communities, while strengthening exchanges and connections between regions. Thereby, contributing to attracting tourists to visit and experience at the "Common House" of the Village of Culture - Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups.

In May, the activities have the participation of more than 100 ethnic minorities from 16 ethnic groups including Nung, Tay, Dao, Mong, Muong, Lao, Thai, Kho Mu, Ta Oi, Co Tu, Ba Na, Xo Dang, Gia Rai, Raglai, E De, Khmer. The program is coordinated to be implemented from 11 localities with daily activities of ethnic minorities: Thai Nguyen, Hanoi, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Son La, Hue, Gia Lai, Quang Ngai, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak and Can Tho. In particular, on May 16 - May 17, 2026, about 25 ethnic minorities Tay and Nung of Thai Nguyen province will participate in activities at the Village.
The highlight of the series of events is special folk songs and dance programs such as "Viet Bac remembers Uncle Ho", "May Gifts to Uncle Ho" and "Uncle Ho's Gratitude to the Central Highlands People" combined with cultural and artistic exchanges and stories about Uncle Ho.
The art space recreates the cultural life of the highlands through the color of Viet Bac indigo, then, sli, luon melodies, and the sound of the Tinh zither harmonizing with the scenery of the mountains and forests, evoking deep emotions.
The program takes place from May 3 - May 31, this is an opportunity for the Village of Culture - Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups not only to honor and commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and national historical values, but also to contribute to spreading and preserving the cultural identity of the community of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups.
