On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026) and in response to the 500 days and nights Campaign to promote the search, repatriation and identification of martyrs' remains, religious establishments in Binh Thanh ward have actively participated in many practical gratitude activities, expressing deep gratitude to heroic martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution.
Representatives of dignitaries, officials, monks and religious people respectfully offered incense and flowers at Le Thi Rieng Park. In a solemn atmosphere, each incense stick lit is not only a tribute to those who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland but also a reminder of the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source", the responsibility to preserve the revolutionary achievements and continue the patriotic tradition of the nation.
Religious establishments also participated with the ward's working delegation to visit, encourage and give meaningful gifts to the forces performing the task of searching for and repatriating martyrs' remains at Le Thi Rieng Park.
For Buddhism, this activity is also a practical response to the official dispatch of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha on organizing memorial and gratitude activities to celebrate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day. Through this, the spirit of gratitude, filial piety, serving the Fatherland and accompanying the nation continues to spread through specific and meaningful actions.
Gratitude activities of Binh Thanh ward religious establishments have contributed to affirming the active role of religions in caring for people with meritorious services, implementing social security and building the great national unity bloc. The spirit of "Dao phap - Dan toc - Chuc xam" (Islam - Nation - Socialism), "Living the Gospel in the heart of the nation to serve the happiness of the people", "Prosperous country, bright religion", "Living a good life, beautiful religion" are expressed by practical and humane actions.
