On July 7, Cao Bang Provincial Police said that Phuc Hoa Commune Police had advised the Commune People's Committee to implement many solutions to prevent and combat drowning in the context of the rainy and flood season, causing water levels in rivers, streams, ponds, and lakes to rise, posing many potential safety risks.
The Commune Police force coordinated with the Youth Union and forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level to survey high-risk areas, where people and children regularly pass by, play or fish.
Through review, the working group installed 4 warning signs with the content "Deep, dangerous water areas - Preventing drowning" at key points to remind people to proactively prevent accidents.
In addition, functional forces directly propagate knowledge and skills for drowning prevention and control; recommend parents to strengthen the management of their children during summer vacation, not to let children arbitrarily swim in rivers, streams, ponds, lakes or play in deep water and fast-flowing areas when no adults are accompanying them.
The activity of erecting warning signs combined with direct propaganda contributes to raising awareness and prevention of drowning accidents in the community, especially for children.
In the coming time, Phuc Hoa Commune Police will continue to coordinate with departments and branches to review dangerous areas, supplement warning signs and promote propaganda, contributing to protecting the lives and health of people during the rainy and flood season.
