Lao Cai - Pung Luong Commune Police have just forced 4 drug addicts to compulsory detoxification, contributing to building a drug-free area.

On June 18, Lao Cai Provincial Police said that Pung Luong Commune Police had just organized the forced removal of 4 drug addicts in the area for compulsory detoxification in order to improve the effectiveness of addict management, contributing to ensuring security and order at the grassroots level.

Over the past time, implementing the policy of building a drug-free commune and the peak period of attacking and suppressing drug crimes, Pung Luong Commune Police have proactively and synchronously deployed many professional measures, strengthening the review and management of addicts and illegal drug users in the area.

Through grasping the situation, the police force has prepared dossiers for cases eligible for administrative handling measures to be sent to compulsory detoxification facilities according to the provisions of law.

On June 17, Pung Luong Commune Police organized coercion to send 4 drug addicts to compulsory detoxification. The implementation process was carried out in accordance with legal procedures, ensuring absolute safety for the task force as well as related subjects.

According to Pung Luong Commune Police, sending addicts to compulsory detoxification is an important solution to improve the effectiveness of addict management, limit the risk of crime and illegal acts related to drugs.

At the same time, this is also an opportunity for addicts to be treated, recover their health, change their awareness and behavior, and gradually reintegrate into the community after the detoxification process.

In addition to the management of addicts, in the past time, Pung Luong Commune Police have proactively advised the Party Committee and local authorities to implement many solutions to prevent and combat drugs; promote propaganda and dissemination of laws; mobilize people to actively participate in denouncing crimes and violations of the law on drugs.

The police force also strengthens the management of high-risk subjects violating the law, contributing to maintaining security and order in the area.

In the coming time, Pung Luong Commune Police will continue to coordinate with functional forces to strengthen grasping the local situation, strictly manage subjects related to drugs, resolutely fight against law violations, and at the same time promote the movement "All people protect national security", towards the goal of building a drug-free area.

Pung Luong Commune Police also recommends that people raise awareness of law compliance, proactively provide information and denounce drug crimes; pay attention to managing and educating family members, not to be dragged or seduced to participate in illegal acts related to drugs.
