On June 4, Lao Cai Provincial Police said that Task Force 373 of the Provincial Police in coordination with Trinh Tuong Commune Police had just successfully mobilized a case of drug use to voluntarily register for compulsory detoxification.
Implementing the policy of building a drug-free area, in the past time, Task Force 373 and Trinh Tuong Commune Police have promoted propaganda and mobilized people to participate in drug prevention and control.

Functional forces also strengthen the review and management of addicts, illegal drug users and cases under post-rehabilitation management in the area.
On June 3, Task Force 373 coordinated with Trinh Tuong Commune Police and Ta Cau Lieng village authorities to organize specific propaganda for the household of Mr. Sung A Chao (born 1978) - who is a post-rehabilitation management subject and Mr. Trang A Hoa (born 1978) - who has a history of drug addiction (both residing in Ta Cau Lieng village).
At the working session, functional forces propagated the provisions of law on drug prevention and control; and analyzed the harms of drugs to oneself, family and society.

Through persuasion, Mr. Trang A Hoa voluntarily took a drug test. The rapid test results determined that Mr. Hoa tested positive for heroin.
Mr. Hoa confessed to using drugs for a long time.
After being propagated and encouraged, Mr. Hoa realized the harmful effects of drugs and voluntarily registered for compulsory detoxification.
Currently, Trinh Tuong Commune Police are completing the dossier requesting the application of measures to send them to compulsory detoxification facilities according to regulations.
According to Lao Cai Provincial Police, the above results contribute to improving the effectiveness of management of addicts at the grassroots level, preventing the emergence of crimes and social evils.
This is also one of the solutions to effectively implement the goal of building Trinh Tuong commune without drugs, maintaining security and order in the area.
