In the afternoon of May 13, at the Lang Trang village cultural house, Son Linh commune, the Mobile Police Department, Quang Ngai Provincial Police organized a summary ceremony of the coordination program to support people to overcome rural roads and houses damaged by floods, according to VNA.
Implementing the skillful mass mobilization model "Mobile police force - Close to the people, close to the people", promoting the spirit of "Serving the people", in the past week, the Mobile Police Department coordinated with Son Linh Commune Police and local Party committees and authorities to implement many activities to support people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
Police forces and people overcome landslide points, level the ground, and build 600m of concrete road wider than 2m in Lang Trang village. This is a road that is frequently landslide and slippery, causing difficulties for people's travel during the rainy and storm season.
The unit also supported house repairs for Ms. Dinh Thi Kro, residing in Dong Giang village, a household in particularly difficult circumstances, living alone, whose house is seriously degraded but has no conditions to repair it. The soldiers have redone the roof, repaired the electricity and water systems, ensuring safety for the family during the rainy and windy season, and at the same time supported some essential equipment for living.
According to the plan, in the coming time, officers and soldiers of the Mobile Police Department will continue to construct an additional 200m of road to serve the travel of local people.
Mr. Do Tam Hien - Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee - acknowledged and praised the spirit of responsibility and proactiveness of the police force in mass mobilization work, supporting people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters. He highly appreciated the effectiveness of the model "Mobile Police Force - Close to the people, close to the people".
According to Mr. Do Tam Hien, the fact that officers and soldiers directly go to the grassroots level, eat together, work together, and share difficulties with the people has contributed to spreading the beautiful image of the people's police soldier "brave, humane, serving the people", consolidating people's trust and strengthening the people's security posture from the grassroots level.
Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee also requested the provincial police to continue to replicate practical mass mobilization models, linking security and order assurance work with social security; mobile police forces continue to stick to the grassroots level, be close to the people, and support people with specific and practical actions.
On this occasion, Mr. Do Tam Hien, along with leaders of the provincial police, Son Linh Commune Police and the People's Police Women's Union, presented gifts to support 2 families in difficult circumstances in Son Linh commune, contributing to encouraging households to soon stabilize their lives.
