On June 20, information from Keng Du Commune Police, Nghe An province said that in the past time, the unit has implemented many practical models and ways to ensure security and order, and at the same time support people in the area to stabilize their lives.
Faced with the specific characteristics of a mountainous and border commune, Keng Du Commune Police have established an armed patrol team to prevent and combat crime and law violations; coordinated with the Commune Military Command, Keng Du Border Guard Station to strengthen armed patrols, patrol markers, and ensure security and order on the Vietnam - Laos border line.
At the end of 2025, Keng Du Commune Police advised the Commune People's Committee to launch the skillful mass mobilization model "People comply with the law, peaceful border villages" in Huoi Le village. Through the model, the police force promotes propaganda of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, raises people's awareness of law compliance, promotes the spirit of solidarity, vigilance, and crime prevention from the grassroots level.
Despite the thin force, wide area, and difficult traffic, officers and soldiers of Keng Du Commune Police still regularly stick to the village, grasp the situation, and promptly advise on handling arising cases, not allowing the formation of complex hotspots of security and order.
In addition to the task of preventing and combating crime, Keng Du Commune Police also focuses on administrative reform, improving the spirit of serving the people. Officers and soldiers in the unit maintain a welcoming attitude, provide dedicated guidance, prioritize resolving procedures on schedule, and take people's satisfaction as a measure of work quality.
Notably, the Commune Police has implemented the "Border Security Camera" model, installing 10 cameras in 10 border villages with a total cost of nearly 80 million VND from socialization sources and contributions of officers and soldiers. The model contributes to supporting the prevention and fight against crimes, ensuring security and order in the border area.
Along with that, Keng Du Commune Police coordinated with Keng Du Border Guard Station and people to support building houses for two households in difficult circumstances, Mr. Moong Pho Bay and Mr. Luong Van Kham, both residing in Huoi Phuon 2 village. The forces directly transported materials, erected house frames, and contributed working days to help families soon stabilize their lives.
The unit also implements the "3 together with youth" model, accompanying, educating, and orienting youth to develop healthily; the "Commune Police adopted children" model, sponsoring, caring for and supporting a young child in particularly difficult circumstances to continue going to school.
Keng Du is a border commune located in the west of Nghe An province, about 300km from the provincial administrative center. The commune is large, with a border adjacent to neighboring Laos nearly 30km long, the terrain is mainly hilly and dangerous, traffic is difficult, especially during the rainy and flood season.
