Ethnic Culture and Sports Festival - Cuc Phuong Great Forest 2026" is a key event in a series of activities to celebrate Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day (April 19), and also a golden opportunity to promote ecotourism combined with indigenous culture.
Accordingly, the opening time is on the evening of April 17 in Cuc Phuong commune, Ninh Binh province.
The festival is not only a spiritual playground for the Muong ethnic people but also a strategic solution to realize the cultural goal of being a driving force for development. The event focuses on preserving traditional values that are at risk of fading, while connecting the precious natural resources of Cuc Phuong National Park with unique tourism products.
This year's festival is larger in scale with the participation of many mass art troupes. The main venue is at Cuc Phuong Commune Stadium and Ho Mac area (Cuc Phuong National Park). Highlight activities include:
- Muong cultural space: Vividly recreated through gong dances and traditional bamboo dances. In particular, visitors can participate in giao luu singing in Muong language - a unique heritage of Nho Quan land.
- Folk sports festival: Excitingly taking place with competitions such as crossbow shooting, stilt walking, stick pushing, tug-of-war, con throwing, cù and cockfighting. These are activities that attract a large number of young people and local people to participate, creating a bustling festival atmosphere.
- Culinary and OCOP experience: The exhibition area will gather famous products of the great forest such as: mountain snails, deer meat, leaf wine, burnt rice and local OCOP standard agricultural products.
On this occasion, visitors to Cuc Phuong can also immerse themselves in the most wonderful natural moments of the year.
