On August 11, the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Finance informed that after merging with Phu Yen, the public investment plan of the new Dak Lak province in 2025 is 14,840 billion VND.
By early August 2025, the authorities had allocated VND12,200 billion in details to the projects, reaching 93.8% of the plan.
Of which, the central budget alone for national target programs that have not been allocated is more than 90 billion VND.
Since the beginning of the year, Dak Lak provincial authorities at all levels have disbursed 603 billion VND (total of 1,310 billion VND) to implement national target programs, reaching 46.24% of the set plan.
The new rural construction program disbursed 70.31%; the sustainable poverty reduction program disbursed 23.91%; Program 1719 disbursed 29.96%.
Notably, the career capital of the three national target programs mentioned above (including capital for the years extended to 2025) has only been disbursed 337.283 billion VND (total of 837.738 billion VND), reaching 40.26% of the plan.
Faced with the above situation, Mr. Ta Anh Tuan - Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee has directed the People's Committees of communes and wards in the area to urgently deploy the disbursement of capital for 3 allocated national target programs.
Thereby, effectively implementing sustainable poverty reduction, socio-economic development of ethnic minority areas...
Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa - Chairman of Ia Ru Commune People's Committee - said: "The locality is one of the border communes of the province. The whole commune has more than 6,700 people, mainly ethnic minorities living in 12 villages. Among them, there are many households in difficult circumstances that need support".
In recent years, thanks to the resources of national target programs, the appearance of poor rural areas in Dak Lak province has "changed" with improved and upgraded road infrastructure, schools, and health stations.
"Immediately after the capital for the national target program is allocated, the People's Committee of the commune will focus on repairing and upgrading inter-village roads so that people can move smoothly. In addition, the locality also focuses on effectively implementing hunger eradication and sustainable poverty reduction work," Mr. Hoa added.
In recent years, in ethnic minority areas, local authorities have implemented vocational training classes, provided agricultural production documents, livestock, opened training classes... for people (from beneficiaries).
From there, people have been able to develop their household economy and improve their lives. Many people have escaped the status of poor and near-poor households by renovating their houses and taking care of their children's education.
