In early May 2026, Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee approved the investment policy for 3 projects to renovate and repair medical facilities and hospitals.
According to Decision No. 944, the project "Renovation, repair and procurement of equipment for Lung Hospital" has a total investment of 15 billion VND.
The project will comprehensively repair from the Department of Psychiatric Examination and Treatment, Departments of Internal Medicine, Pharmacy, Department of Clinical Examination to the administrative area and corridor system.
The Lung Hospital will also be equipped with new microbial laboratory systems, washing machines, industrial dryers (30 kg type) and install automatic fire alarm systems.
According to Decision No. 924, the Provincial People's Committee approved the investment policy for the project "Renovation and repair of the Provincial Medical Examination Center; testing building of the Provincial Center for Disease Control (CDC); General Department of Obstetrics and Surgery of the Traditional Medicine Hospital - Provincial Rehabilitation", with a total investment of 8 billion VND.
At the testing building of the Provincial CDC, degraded items such as corrugated iron roofs, glass walls, electrical and plumbing systems will be repaired, painted and comprehensively waterproofed.
Dien Bien Dong Medical Center was also approved for an investment policy of 10 billion VND to repair 2 departments: Department of Testing - Diagnostic Imaging and Department of Infectious Diseases.
The project will overcome damage inside and outside the house, renovate the X-ray room area, and at the same time build additional manhole systems and wastewater collection pipelines.
The addition of specialized medical equipment will help complete the system of facilities, creating favorable conditions for medical examination and treatment in the locality.
