Cambodia's Kandal Provincial Police Department visits the An Giang Provincial Border Guard

The visit demonstrates the solidarity, good neighborliness, and traditional friendship between the An Giang Provincial Border Guard and the Cambodian government and armed forces.

On July 19, the delegation of cadres of the Kandal Provincial Police - Kingdom of Cambodia, led by Lieutenant General Chhoeurn Sochet, Director of the delegation, visited, congratulated and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of the An Giang Provincial Border Guard Command.

The visit has a special meaning, demonstrating solidarity, good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, long-term sustainability between the An Giang Provincial Border Guard Command and the Cambodian government and armed forces.

At the meeting, Lieutenant General Chhoeurn Sochet sent his best wishes to all officers and soldiers of the An Giang Provincial Border Guard Command. On his personal behalf, the Director also congratulated Colonel Pham Van Thang, who was recently assigned by the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense to be the Deputy Commander of the Provincial Military Command and Commander of the An Giang Provincial Border Guard Command.

The head of the delegation was very happy that in recent years, the forces of both sides have had very good cooperation in protecting border sovereignty. Fight against all types of crimes, including drug crimes, human trafficking, high-tech crimes, etc. We believe that in the coming time, the two sides will continue to cooperate in the spirit of neighborhood, friendship, respect for sovereignty, mutual trust, and jointly resolve arising issues on the border.

At the meeting, the delegation of officers of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Police Department of Kandal transferred letters, congratulations from Mr. So Thet, General Department of the National Police, Ministry of Home Affairs and congratulations and visits from Mr. Kuach Chmroeurn, Provincial Governor of Kandal Province, Kingdom of Cambodia to all officers and soldiers of the An Giang Provincial Border Guard and Colonel Pham Van Thang personally.

Receiving the congratulations of the Kandal Provincial Police Department, Colonel Pham Van Thang expressed his joy, respect, and thank you for the Kandal Provincial Police Department's visit and giving the best feelings to the officers and soldiers of the An Giang Provincial Border Guard.

Colonel Pham Van Thang affirmed: In the coming time, the two sides will regularly exchange information related to political security and social order and safety. Coordinate to promptly resolve incidents that occur on the border in the spirit of peace, friendship, cooperation, respect for each other's independence and territorial integrity, and avoid hot spots on the border. Continue to propagate to the people about the longstanding good traditions between the two peoples and the armed forces of the two countries. Specific tasks will be deployed to promote economic development, maintain political stability, social order and safety in the adjacent border area, and join hands to build a border of peace, friendship, cooperation, and mutual development.
